This is a very prevalent situation for all bloggers and web users and l have had first hand examples of how the scammers use phising to obtain our identification. The more any blogger becomes known through their profiles, web-activity and sharing, you become a target.
Since publishing my profile l have won every lottery in this country and have been approached by unscrupulous scammers with offers of money to become a next of kin of a dead person, be this in the UK or other countries of the world. Some of these scammers are known to google and they have information about these scams on their timelines.
At present l have been approached by people that are either dying, in hospital or living in fear of their lives. Now let me say that there are many people in this world in fear of their lives and this sort of under-handed action will make us very uncertain whether they are the genuine ones needing my help or guidance.
This article highlights Africa and in particular South Africa and certain names are known on google and these people using many guises have approached me to scam banking and credit details. So far to no avail as l never put any banking information online so if you think of scamming me to find information your out of luck.
We all have to get together and make the Internet safe for people to surf in an honest and genuine way, so please let me know of any experiences and l will publish your story. Together we will defeat the dishonest scammers and together make the web a more enjoyable place to share with our friends and business colleagues.
